If you haven’t had a chance to try London fog, you may want to pin my recipe for later. No ice-cream machine required to make this delicious dessert that delivers the same beautiful flavour in the form of ice cream! Trust me, it’s really worth it. If you don’t have access to a steamer, a simple handheld milk frother will also do the job well. However, if you prefer other types of milk the choice is only yours. I recommend the use of whole milk especially if you have a milk steamer. Whole milk is usually a standard ingredient in classic lattes/cappuccinos. So if sugar is not an option for you, choose your sugarfree sweetener of choice. London fog is has both the vanilla flavour and some sweetness. Steep tea for 10 minutes Pour 1/2 cup of milk into a little container. If you don’t have vanilla syrup you can use vanilla essence and a spoonful of sugar. Here is the recipe I came up with if anyone else is interested: Starbucks London Fog Latte DIY Home Version Ingredients: water, milk, Tazo earl grey tea, vanilla syrup, lavender syrup Microwave for 90 seconds 1 cup of water. While the tea is brewing, combine the milk and vanilla. If you’re not sure, err on the side of longer since the milk will dilute the flavor of the tea. Steep according to tea instructions (my brand says 3 minutes for 8-16 ounces). Vanilla syrup is a very convenient way to incorporate both sweetness and vanilla flavour. Add the water to the tea pot, or a mug if using a tea bag/ball. You can choose Earl Grey tea from any brand – I’d recommend to use your favourite! I like to use loose leaf tea and an infuser, but a teabag works equally fine. Gently push down some of the thicker foam on top of your beverage for the final layer.
